Lebanon, Oregon is not the sleepy lumber town you remember.
Its schools are growing up, too.
And you could be their next leader.Lebanon, in Oregon’s scenic mid-Willamette Valley, is an exciting example of strong community ties meets genius economic development. Drive into Lebanon and you will be amazed at this thriving community which boasts new economic might, a new medical school (one of only two medical schools in our state), and impressive, modern civic buildings that you might not expect to find in this formerly quiet part of the valley. (This video is worth watching.) Now a bedroom community to Eugene and Salem and only ninety minutes from Portland, Lebanon is the next great Oregon gem of a community.
Known as “the City that Friendliness Built” Lebanon is now seeking a new leader for its schools. With one comprehensive high school and four elementary schools, two rural K-8 schools, a K-8 charter school, and a comprehensive middle school, there is a lot happening in this growing community.
Lebanon Community Schools seeks a visionary leader who can engender trust, enhance the instructional model, and commit deeply to the civic life of the city. We aspire to find a strong, committed leader who intends to stay for the long-term and who is excited to evolve our schools for the betterment of all kids. We believe that this exciting time in the history of Lebanon is well-suited for an educational leader of outstanding talent.
